David McFarlin is Of Counsel with the firm. David is board-certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification and a well-recognized practitioner of bankruptcy law in the Middle District of Florida. With 40 years of experience, David has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and committees in bankruptcy cases under Bankruptcy Code Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13, and in non-bankruptcy matters. Services include business reorganization, consumer and business bankruptcy, loan workouts, mortgage modification, foreclosure defense, offers in compromise and installment payment plans for tax obligations, assignment for the benefit of creditors, prosecution and defense of involuntary bankruptcy cases, discharge and modification of student loans, and defense and prosecution of exceptions to discharge in bankruptcy cases. David is also an adjunct professor of law at the Barry Law School teaching “Business Reorganization Under the Bankruptcy Code.”
David was born in Detroit, Michigan. He wrestled in college and is an active runner, completing over 20 marathons, including the Boston Marathon. David and his family enjoy sports and travel. David is a supporter of our home town university, the University of Central Florida – Go Knights!
